In the 1990s, the construction of the Lover's Road allowed Zhuhai to have the earliest coastal road in China. Redrawing the Shoreline

The overall plan of “One Belt and Nine Bays” is aimed at “Romantic Journey, International Coast” and draws on the experience of international livable cities such as Singapore and Boston to carry out “Double Restoration for the City” - upgrading and restoration work for Lover's Road and 9 major bay areas along the route.
According to the characteristics and positioning of the 9 Bay Areas, a two-prong development model of ecological restoration and restoration of city's functions will be implemented. The coast along Lover's Road will be comprehensively upgraded based on aspects such as the transportation system, water and land integration, public usability, cultural connotations, ocean perspective, city characteristics, restoring an ecological coastline to improve the overall appearance of the bay. We will strive to build Lover's Road into a romantic coastal zone with the most international influence and the most coastal features.

Lover's Road: Romantic Coastal Belt

Optimize the city space along Lover's Road, beautify the urban environment, create a beautiful and romantic coastal city landscape. Introduce marine experience activities such as cruise ships, yachts, sailboats, etc. Increase the vitality along Lover's Road, and create a dynamic coastal ambiance.

Jinxing Bay: Zhuhai-Hong Kong-Macao Science and Education Innovation Platform

It will be based on existing high-tech zones, forming a creative center, a scientific and technological innovation coast, and build a platform for innovation in science and education in Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macao.

Qi'ao Bay: Green Leisure Experience Bay Area

The plan is to build Qi'ao Bay into a green leisure experience bay area at the northern end of Lover's Road, which through developing together with Qi'ao Island to form a leisure activity area integrating "mountain-sea-bay-island" at the northern end of Lover's Road.

Tangjiawan: Marina Leisure Experience Zone

Tangjiawan District is being developed into a Tangjiawan leisure experience belt, with a coastal green leisure belt built on the east side of Lover's Road, improving the coastal walkway and creating a scenic view with Turtle Island and Snake Island as a scenic viewpoints, enriching the coastal activity experience.

Beautiful Bay: Romantic Love Coast

Beautiful Bay will rely on the existing mountain and water resources to build an “ecological low-carbon leisure waterfront”, and together with Xianglu Bay, create a five-stage romantic love coast with the theme of “getting to know each other – love – commitment –spending the life together– reminisce”.

Xianglu Bay: Modern Cultural and Art Coast

Xianglu Bay will rely on Xianglu Bay Beach and Yeli Island to form Zhuhai Grand Theatre as the core, increasing the tourism cultural nodes, building a modern coast of culture and art, and forming a dynamic tourism inner bay of sea and land interaction.

Jiuzhou Bay: Grand Marina Park System

Jiuzhou Bay will connect the city landmarks such as the city center and Jiuzhou Port through Lover's Road to achieve a high degree of integration of the city's various functions, forming the Grand Marina Park system, providing a “mountain-sea-port-city” tourism and leisure experience integrating dining, shopping and marine experience.

Gongbei Bay: Modern Port Gateway

By perfecting a series of port service functions such as Gongbei Port and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port, the coastal public service axis will be built to increase the public usability and activity of the waterfront. Gongbei Bay plans to be developed into a “modern port gateway”.

Hengqin Bay: Zhuhai Business Core

Which faces Macao across the river, is a concentrated area for the integrated development of Zhuhai and Macao. It is planned to use the Shizimen waterway and Jiangjun Mountain as a spatial skeleton to develop into the “Zhuhai-Macao business core”.

Xinhong Bay: Fishing Port Ecological Economic Zone

Located in the westernmost part of Lover's Road, New hongwan Bay will use the excellent natural ecological environment, combined with the new Hongwan fishing port, to create a new port area and ecological recreational experience zone in Zhuhai, and become a “fishing port ecological economy” in eastern Guangdong, western Guangdong and even the Pearl River Delta Area".

With the strong support of the Zhuhai Municipal Government, Gree Real Estate actively participated in the construction of “One Belt and Nine Bays” and took the initiative to undertake the restoration work of the bays in Xianglu Bay, Beautiful Bay and Tangjiawan.
With the premise of fully respecting the current natural elements of the Bay Area, combining the surrounding mountain and sea landscape resources with the city's humanistic memory, using scientific methods to implement various functions such as restoring the beaches, transforming the landscapes and management of rainwater, the restoration works has enhanced the Bay Area ecological environment and coastal landscape image, providing a large number of attractive and vibrant public spaces in the downtown area.

Xianglu Bay Beach Renovation

Gree Real Estate has repaired a 1.5-kilometer “Golden Beach” in Xianglu Bay, which has improved the overall ecological quality and public service functions of the coastal waters, providing the public a space with cultural atmosphere for tourism and leisure.

Beautiful Bay Beach Renovation Project

The Beautiful Bay Beach Restoration project aims to restore the coastal ecological public space and promote the concept of ecological low carbon development. Among them, the Beautiful Bay sand filling project starts from Haitian Station in the south and Meili Xiaozhu Posthouse in the north. The repaired beach shoreline is 1,165 meters long.

Tangjiawan Beach Renovation Project

The coastline of Tangjiawan Beach is about 6 kilometers long. The project for beach restoration, coastal ecological restoration and protection was actively carried out in response to major problems in coastal waters environmental protection, development and management, and new city development needs.

The Xianglu Bay Beach and the Beautiful Bay Beach encountered three strong typhoons, namely, “Nida”, “Hato” and “Mangkhut”. Not only have there been no problems such as loose sand and road flooding, the impacts of the typhoons and waves were also neutralized, thus reducing the impact of natural disasters on the city.
